Thomson Cruises offer five different ships on which to sail, all are well equipped, spacious and stylish, each offering unique qualities depending on the preferences of the passengers.

The newest ship to the Thomson Cruise fleet 'The Calypso' is dedicated to over 16 year olds only, which ensures that who wish to travel as a couple, single or older family can enjoy their cruise without young children running around! This also means that The Calypso is Thomson's smallest ship which provides a more personal style of service and reflects the more traditional approach of cruising, with fixed sittings applied for dinner if waiter service is required.

Evening entertainment is varied with a choice of live bands, popular game shows and midnight cabarets as well as quiet cocktail lounges and bars. The Calypso travels to destinations 'new' to Thomson Cruises which are more unusual such as Sevastopol, Crimea.

A fourteen night cruise which departs from Liverpool, UK aboard the ship 'Celebration' on day one is an ideal for cruise for those who prefer not to fly prior to joining the ship. The ship sails through the night to arrive in Waterford, Ireland, for a full day in which to explore this medieval town famous for its crystal and glassware. Days three and four are spent at sea enjoying the onboard amenities which include whirlpools, a sports deck including basketball and table tennis.

The ship has separate amenities for children with a kid's zone as well as duty free shopping, a library and lounges with internet access for those who wish to keep in touch with the news! All of this, as well as soaking up the sun can be enjoyed while cruising in style to Lisbon, Portugal where the ship arrives in time to spend the morning and early afternoon discovering the delights of Portugal's capital city. Passengers rejoin the ship mid-afternoon and are cruised through the evening and night to disembark in Malaga, Spain for a full day's sightseeing or relaxation.

Day eight sees the ship arriving in Gibraltar, where it is beautifully warm, with many places of interest to visit, including Gibraltar's famous Barbary Apes. The ship then cruises through the night in style arriving in Casablanca, Morocco just after breakfast where optional excursions ashore enable the traditions of this vibrant city to be sampled. An early evening sailing from Casablanca to Portimoe, Portugal begins the return journey up the Atlantic coast calling at Porto, Portugal and La Cormna, Spain for two days of exploration and discovery. Day thirteen is spent at sea relaxing and enjoying the onboard amenities. The ship arrives in Dublin, Ireland at breakfast time on day fourteen and remains in dock for a whole day, giving plenty of opportunity to sample the delights of this cosmopolitan city. An overnight sailing brings the itinerary to a close on day fifteen with disembarkation in Liverpool.

This all time favorite Thomson Cruise is taken onboard Thomson 's luxurious 'Celebration' ship where the days at sea or after a day's sightseeing the two-storey health and beauty spa is the ideal place to indulge in some well-earned pampering.
